Paul Frye, Troop Guide

Paul is currently the Cub Master of Pack 308 at Faith Presbyterian Church in San Diego. 

His Scouting experience started in San Diego with Pack 20 in Mission Hills where he earned his Arrow of Light.  He moved to Troop 218 in Mission Hills, and then to Troop 401 in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He became an Eagle Scout in September of 1979.  He attended the National Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, VA in 1981, and Advanced Boy Scout Leader Training (Precursor to the NYLT program of today) in 1979 and became an Ordeal Member in the Order of the Arrow in 1978. 

Paul re-entered scouting as an adult when his oldest son Parker, 11 (Tenderfoot in Troop 51) became a Tiger Cub.  He has served as Cub Master for 6 , Tiger Den Leader, as well as Webelos Den Leader.   In addition, Paul is an Assistant Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner for in the Mission District.

Paul was a participant in Wood Badge class WE4-49-09 and is proud Buffalo (Tatonka!).  Currently, he is  working to complete his ticket items by December 2010. 

When he is not scouting, he is a Senior Account Executive for Valassis, Inc. and Redplum™.  He holds a BS Degree in Business from SDSU.  He is an alumni member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and volunteers with Christ Lutheran Church and School.  His hobbies include geocaching, golf, swimming, and spending time with his family.

Paul’s wife of 17 years, Erin, is also involved in scouting as a Den Leader and Committee Member of Pack 308, and is a former Director of Mission District Day Camp (2009).   She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in La Mesa, CA. In addition to Parker, they have two other sons, Colin, 9 (Webelos, pack 308), and Elliot, 5 (Future Tiger and current Scout Buddy).
